1976 HERITAGE WEST INDIES 36' SAILBOAT - IN WATER!!
Heritage 36' West Indies were made between 1976 and 1979 and approx. 40 of these hulls were built. Built by Heritage Yachts and designed by Charley Morgan. Heritage Yachts, a Florida based company, created this centerboarder and the draft w the board up is a very modst 4' - good performance windward. Interior is exceptionnaly well laid out - all available space is utilized. There are no less than 3 hanging lockers. The chart table is quite large and includes a bank of drawers which open inboard. The head if very spacious and incorporates a shower. The deck plan includes a very large cockpit w good access to the large lazarette. Sail plan is quite tall and provides more than adequate power without large Genoas. Chain plates are set inaboard at the edge of the house giving a sheeting angle of 13 degrees. She is equipped w Perkins Diesel, 50 Hp, inboard w wheel steering. The sweeping sheer and semi-clipper bow give the West Indies 36 a classic/traditional look which makes this a very attractive vessel.

Beautifully maintained. Sloop rigged, skeg rudder and keel stepped mast. Sleeping accommodations for 6 including a large quarter berth and a double v-berth forward. Spacious u-shaped galley port side w double stainless steel sink, aft w alcohol stove/ice box, pressurized water and ample storage space. Starboard nav table, starboard lounge/settee/berth and a port lounge/dinette/berth. Head has fresh water and is equipped w shower w hanging locker opposite. Aft cushioned cockpit has pedestal steering and a bimini top.
Sails: Fully battened main and a storm jib. Mast was replaced in 2000. Roller furling.
Equipped w solar battery charger, auto pilot and windlass. Bright work and varnish are all in excellent condition. She has been well cared for as evidenced by the photos. Dink is included in the sale at no extra charge.
